Student articles debut in October 2026
Volume I opens with our inaugural articles and continues on a monthly cadence throughout the 2026–2027 academic year. Manuscripts are being read now, and selected authors are placed in an upcoming publication slot.

What we publish
We publish argumentative articles — case comments, doctrinal analysis, and policy critique — not summaries. Subjects we are actively commissioning:
- Athlete contracts, agency, and collective bargaining
- Name, image, and likeness rights
- Sports governance, integrity, and anti-doping
- Media rights, broadcasting, and streaming
- Copyright, trademark, and creative-industry disputes
- Betting, regulation, and emerging technology
Submission guidelines
- Eligibility
- Currently enrolled law students, in Canada or abroad
- Length
- 1,500 to 3,000 words, including footnotes
- Abstract
- 150 words

- Word (.docx), 12pt, double-spaced

- Rolling, reviewed monthly
Manuscript requirements
- The article must be original, unpublished work that is not under review elsewhere.
- Make an argument. Case comments, doctrinal analysis, and policy critique are welcome; descriptive summaries are not.
- Footnote every proposition in McGill Guide style; substantive footnotes should be kept short.
- Include a 150-word abstract, a two-line biography for each author, and each author's school and year of study.
- Anonymise nothing. Published articles run under your byline.
- Email the manuscript as a .docx attachment with the subject line “Article Submission”.
